What to Expect in Social Event Support Sessions Guidance and Grounding in Challenging Situations Attending social events like weddings, parties, or gatherings can be especially difficult when food, comments, or expectations are involved. As your coach, I’ll support you in staying grounded, steady, and aligned with your recovery goals throughout the event. Navigating Food in Social Settings I’ll help you plan for and respond to food-related challenges — whether that’s dealing with limited options, managing buffet-style meals, or facing situations where others may be eating foods that feel uncomfortable for you. Together, we’ll build strategies that help you feel more confident and in control. Managing Anxiety and Emotional Responses Social events can trigger anxiety, comparison, and overwhelm. I’ll be there to help you regulate your emotions, work through discomfort, and stay connected to the healthier parts of yourself as the event unfolds. Handling Comments and Social Pressure Sometimes people make comments about food, bodies, or eating — intentionally or not. I’ll support you in preparing for these moments and responding in a way that protects your recovery and keeps you feeling safe. Making Social Events More Enjoyable These sessions are designed to help these occasions feel less stressful and more manageable. With the right tools and support, you can show up more fully, participate comfortably, and enjoy the moments that matter without feeling overwhelmed.
